Nature Walk

The kids and I went on our first nature walk together at Jacks Pond Park this afternoon. It was a riot! We had fun exploring the trails behind the park. Tristan led the way and me and Kira followed. It was so beautiful out and so refreshing to be in nature and looking at plants, trees, leaves, pine cones, and bugs. Drew is out getting buffalo wings with Scott tonight so we're home alone! Tristan just helped me put Kira to bed, and now him and I have time to play together. He just brought me his basket of books and a "tap tap tap" to my shoulder, so it looks like we'll be doing lots of reading tonight. Fun fun fun! "Here I come, Tristan" ... and I'm off.
